Nickelback fans on why they like Nickelback

We asked 1,500 Canadians their opinion on Nickelback. The results are in—69 per cent consider Nickelback to be "a national treasure." We caught up with some of their fans to find out why.

I'm not really a Nickleback fan, yo know, I've liked a few songs in the early 2000s, but I never paid for an album or went to see them. With that said, I think this whole "Nickleback sucks" thing, is nothing more than herd mentality. It's popular to say it... MOST people are just followers... Sheep basically. Thinking for themselves is not what they're strongest at... So yeah, if you love Nickleback, well... I respect that. You're standing by what you really like, instead of worrying what others think is cool or not.

As a Canadian, I think Nickelback is just okay.

Not great, but not the worst thing I've ever heard. They're sort of there, plus there are a few songs I would give it a spin or two.

IMO Nickelback has some good songs it really does not matter if you hate them or not. People have different opinions about everything.

Well I think they've made some pretty heartfelt ballads like Savin' Me and just the typical fun types of rock songs so that would be my answer. However they have decreased in quality over the years.

The question of "why all people hate Nickelbac?k" isn't valid. The real is "why all (American) people hate Nickelback?". They are just annoying nation that always deciding if they like something so all of people in the world should love it, vice versa. Geez they even nicknamed themself as "American", how about Canadian? Mexican? Brazilian? Argentinian? Etc. Are they not "American".

My first ever nickelback gig was in 2012 at Wembley Arena I've seen them twice now my second time was at the same venue in 2016 and my last time was at the O2 this year.
