Heskey was a very very solid player for Liverpool.
Let's not forget he was a standard choice in the staring XI both for Liverpool while they were in the Championd League, and also for England for a few years.
That fact alone says he was more than just an average player.

He wasn't a shadow of himself at the time while the meme was being created. He was vers slow at time while he was quite quick in his prime with decent skills as this video shows.

He was a team player, not a cold blood killer.
Amazing for playing back of the goal as a second striker with another st on his side.
Perfect for controling long passes and holding the ball. Great turn and spin, kind of like Lukaku.
He generated a lot of chances per match and give a lot of assist.
He would do the dirty work for Fowler and Owen. Great Stamina and Pressing, he could beat the toughest defenders.
Its a shame that he didn't have that killer instinct, but his impact on the game is underrated.
