I always use to believe that Pan ruined Dbgt because of how she prevented the possibility of Goten and Trunks fusing in outer space when Pan made the spaceship take off without Goten

I think a big reason for her potential is the fact that Videl was a very capable fighter in her own right, but also Gohan was at the height of his Mystic / Potential Unleashed era when she was conceived.

Back when Pan was first shown at the End of Z, we didn't yet have the weird thing introduced of Gohan losing power. At that point in time, as far as anyone was concerned, Gohan's Potential Unleashed power up was permanent; allowing him all of his power from his base form, not only giving him power he had lost since the Cell Saga, but also giving him new power he hadn't trained for yet, and also eliminating any need for him to transform.

In my mind, that directly carried over to Pan, granting her far more strength in her base form, and it's perhaps why she never actually went Super Saiyan in GT despite a couple scenes desperately calling for it.

She basically went super saiyan in the womb during the ssj god ritual, and could fly as a baby.
The potential is astronomical.

Pan was always a favorite for me honestly felt GT didn't get enough time and love and if the series had better English translation it would've actually been pretty good even to the English speaking community. GT did really well in Japan so it obviously had good potential just like our young girl pan.

GT Pan can be so underrated. I actually really like her character. Although you say she barely trained but I’m pretty sure that’s never said in the show and in fact, stuff like seeing her doing martial arts at Hercule’s dojo seems to indicate that she DID train which, along with her though attitude, explains a bit on how she is this strong.
