FEATURES:

1. It makes the bottles in just two minutes which is super handy when you have a grumpy, hungry baby. I am especially thankful for the machine in the middle of the night - I can basically make a bottle with my eyes closed (or at least half open!).

2. Milk is prepared at a perfect temperature for your baby. It is made at 'body' temperature so that it is most similar to breast milk (with a hot shot to kill any bacteria in the milk).

3. Volume control for silent bottle making.

4. Easy to use digital display. This is especially handy if someone is babysitting so that they don't have any trouble knowing how to make bottles.

5. Glow night light so that you don't have to turn the big light on at night, which makes it easier for you and baby to get to sleep again after the feed.

6. The adjustable bottle stand works with most bottles.

Your reason for not using it is not the purpose of this tool, it's purpose is not "to heat up formula", it's purpose is to sterilize the formula and then cool it down in under 2 minutes. The other method is to boil water (100 C) => cool it down to 70 C => poor in bottle => cool down to body temp (under 40 C) => give to baby to yum yum.

Now you can imagine how long this will take (about 45 minutes of agony)

That being said, it seems that most babys don't actually need sterilized baby formula, but I'm also new to this so don't take this as fact.

Agree with the comment above. 70 degree water is needed to sterilise the formula powder.
