Islanders head coach Patrick Roy said after his team took a 3-0 lead, they began to lose all the one on one battles. The result was four-goal third period by Carolina and a 5-3 loss for the islanders, putting them down two games to none in their playoff series.

Canes have good forecheck. Why dump pucks in and cycle? Because you knock them off puck take it score on wraparound win game down 3-0 with 5 straight goals, 4 in 3rd, 3 in last 3min, 2 in 9 seconds.

The roster is mostly minor leaguers who have no business being in the NHL. This falls squarely on the head of the GM. Watching Dobson trip himself and turn the puck over for a clear scoring chance sums up this team's D which mostly acts as a 6th player for the opposing team. Besides the goalies, there are only a couple of players worth keeping. This team is an utter and complete embarrassment. As an Isles fan since the mid 70s, the revolving door of poor players has now reached rock meets bottom.

This league is all about expansion when they should be contracting a lot of terribly run franchises like the Islanders and many others!
