During the Day 2 segment, the thought occurred to me that those who sell more than a million copies don't do it based on the quality of writing or the organization of the book itself, but due to a central idea that gives people hope, and also due to the author's personality as they do the virtual book tour. When they connect with their audience and give them hope, that sells books.

During the Day 3 segment, it's clear that the advice given shows that the Perfect Webinar structure works for books as much as for marketing. Grab attention, make a promise, prove the validity of the promise, then cover the details to deliver on that promise. Each page of a book must give the reader a reason to read the next page, much like Joseph Sugarman's slippery slide principle.

Something you mentioned with your previous books which helps tremendously is to teach the material face to face to students, as this gives you valuable feedback to make sure what you write hits home before the book is printed. Start with short versions to check the overall concepts and structure, then do longer trainings to work in the details. Record and transcribe to get a first draft.

BTW, I was also thinking of recommending Scrivener because I love this program for writing and editing.

Hi Russell. I kind of feel like you’re going into it with the wrong frame of mind. The goal shouldn’t be to sell a million copies. The goal is to change as many lives as possible through your experience, which could be way more than a million copies. You said so yourself, don’t do it for the money, focus on the value you can provide and let the book write itself through you. You are the conduit, the guide. Let the book write itself.
