Top 8 Luxury Buys| Jadakiss
-----------------------
Jason Terrance Phillips was born May 27, 1975, in Yonkers, New York. He is better known by his stage name, Jadakiss, an American rapper. He is also a member of The LOX, a rap trio he founded in 1994 with colleagues Jamaal, Sheek Louch, and Styles P. By the age of twelve, Jadakiss was a freestyle rapper competing in events. He and some of his buddies were invited to participate in the "Jack the Rapper Competition" in Florida, where Jadakiss was recognized for his battle rap skills. He met Dee and Wah of the Ruff Ryders (then a management company) and began hanging around and battling outside the Ruff Ryders' studio, where musicians such as DMX recorded his first tracks. Jadakiss formed the rap group the Warlox in 1994 with buddies Jamaal, Sheek Louch, and Styles P. They eventually signed with Bad Boy Entertainment, where it was recommended that they just change their moniker to "The LOX", which stood for Living Off Experience. They made their debut on The Main Source's 1994 album "Fuck What You Think" with the single "Set it Off". The group, particularly Jadakiss, had a tight bond with The Notorious B.I.G, and Jadakiss was taken under Biggie's wing. In 1997, the LOX released their first multi-platinum single, a dedication to Biggie called "We'll Always Love Big Poppa" (the B-side to Puff Daddy's "I'll Be Missing You"). The LOX's album Money, Power, Respect was released in 1998. After this album, they left Bad Boy Records. Kiss the Game Goodbye, Jada's debut solo album, was released in August 2001 on the Ruff Ryders/Interscope label. Jadakiss released his second album, Kiss of Death, in June 2004. It was a commercial success, earning gold status from the Recording Industry Association of America and selling over 200,000 copies in its first week of release. Despite his unquestioned status among rap's finest, Jadakiss has yet to win the individual awards that typically accompany such recognition. He's been nominated for three Grammy Awards. Today we’ll be taking a look at the Top 8 Luxury Buys of Jadakiss.
