For non-nomadic people, Loop x Ulta offers refillable skincare, bodycare, hand soap and I believe tooth tabs. Not a huge selection of options right now but they are working to add more companies and products. How it works is that they ship your items and will come pick it up in their special tote when you're done to be sanitized then refilled.

Re: Eyeliner: Any wood eyeliner with minimal packaging would probably be ideal. idk what eco-branded companies make them, but normie drugstores still sell individual wood liners with just a bit of plastic covering the tip.

For those of you looking into getting toothpaste tablets, you won't be able to find one with flouride because the FDA doesn't allow tablets to have flouride at this point. That's why we see nanohydroxyapatite in these tablets instead.

The reason that flouride works to prevent cavities is because we have a chemical called calcium hydroxide in our bones (our teeth are bones). When we eat sugars, it makes our saliva acidic (I say as I'm eating chocolate). Since hydroxide is a base, our acidic saliva reacts with the basic hydroxide in our teeth and makes a hole (aka a cavity). The flouride subsitites for the hydroxide in our teeth, forming calcium flouride, which isn't as affected my acids and prevents cavities

Nanohydroxyapatite (the substitute used in tablets) is also effective because hydroxyapatite is the main compound in bone and enamel. It provides a coating that protects your teeth. So it's perfectly fine to use and better for the environment :)

What do you mean by a “safer alternative to fluoride” in toothpaste? I’ve always been under the impression that fluoride is incredibly important in dental care?

This video totally inspired me to pop on a scrub and pamper my skin a bit. It had been awhile but I soooo love the smooth soft feeling after. LOVING ALL THE NEW CONTENT!

A random tip from my grandma for when you're searching for real vintage gold is that gold bends! She's a wild one and bites pieces (gently) and if the "gold" doesn't dent it's fake

I unfollowed you a long time ago, but now that I have grown as a person and realized there’s no right way to do this journey I am back. I still love your personality ❤️

Yes to wearing color cloths, it does change the way you feel about your self. I used to wear just black cloths, but few years ago I decided that I was going to add color to my cloths and let me tell you, it did make me more happier and confident and approachable So much that every time I when on a run few people stop me to ask me where was the rave? I guess I over do it with the colors 😂

For makeup companies I love Elate! I do my entire face with Elate now 😂. I have super dry skin and have found that the refresh foundation as well as universal cremes have been game changers for me. I know that the products can be a bit expensive at first but I like to think of it as how much makeup should cost. Every couple of months they do a “we made too much sale” and lots of stuff is 40% off and I got a bunch of stuff then. Otherwise you might be able to find things on Etsy!

That's so cool that there are places to drop off compost. We have our own compost, but good to know to share with others.

My favorite eco friendly mascaras that I’ve tried would probably be Pacifica’s newest vegan collagen mascara that comes in a glass tube!! It seems like them as a company have started coming out with a lot more sustainable packaging as well. Otherwise Target has 2 new brands called PYT, where all the packaging is either recyclable and/or made of recycled materials, (tried their mascara & it’s also great!) along with Billion Dollar Beauty, who sell single pan products, & they even have their own magnetic palette! I use their brow pomade & some of their eyeshadows, & I love all of them. :)

For makeup, I’ve been loving Salt New York by KiKi Gi (sorry if I spelled her name wrong!), Besame Cosmetics, and of course Elate cosmetics! I love how my full face of makeup (including mascara/eyebrows/eyeliner) can fit into the Salt New York pallet now!

I have incredibly sensitive eyes when it comes to eye make up and I have found that Elate Cosmetics has been the best option for me! Very minimal waste, bamboo packaging (mostly), and refillables! I haven't used their liners but their mascara and eyeshadows are my ABSOLUTE favorite and does not bother me at all. I have used SO many mascaras and elate was by far the best. I love that they have compacts where you can put blushes/shadows etc in one compact!! Little pricey but WORTH it!
