Why not start in 2004 when they actually split up? They lost in 03 to the Spurs and 04 to the Pistons while they were together.

Sorry but saying Shaq wasn’t known for his playmaking is blasphemy. Watch some film and you’d see he drops dimes whenever he’s doubled. BShaw, Rick Fox, DFish, Big Shot Bob and George made a lot of spot up 3s whenever he was doubled. I get that Jokic has changed the game for a passing big, but back then, 3+ apg is a lot for a big man back then when majority of PGs don’t get more than 5 apg.

I'd say they'd get 6 since Kobe got 2 without and Shaq got 1 without. Even if Wade got FMVP, Shaq was 2nd in MVP votes in 05. Shaq and Kobe both lost in MVPs to Nash in 05 and 06 and I'd say they should've won both over Nash.

Shaq would've prolly gotten the earlier 2 FMVPs and Kobe would've gotten the later ones. Also interesting that they didn't have as much badges as they should've early on. They got more badges as they regressed. Prolly would've dominated more if they got the badges from the get go, as they should've.
