I am NOT adopted, but I can confirm, adopted children are just as amazing.

I'm really kinda annoyed by all you commenters being super insensitive and complaining that Buzzfeed hasn't given you "Im Atheist but I'm not.." Be respectful first off because some people probably needed this. Have some patience.

I have a sister who is adopted, who I love unconditionally. I never think of her as my adopted sister, even when I tell people she's my sister. I usually actually forget that she was adopted 99.99% of the time. She's been a great older sister to me my whole life, and I would never think of her as anyone else than my sister.

Ooo... when I saw *"I'm A...."* I thought it was Atheist for a split second, so close...

*"And her race doesn't change the fact that she's my mom."* This line is so beautiful though :)

I'm adopted, but I'm not unwanted
I'm adopted, but I'm the same race as my parents.
I'm adopted, but I'm not ashamed.

I'm adopted, and as far as I'm concerned, my family is my family, blood and genetics don't matter.

Some people don't understand that not all adoptions are caused by infertility in the parents. Sometimes it's because the parents carry very dangerous genetics that they don't want to pass on, and that's perfectly okay. Sometimes it's because the mother doesn't think birthing a child is right for her body or mind, and that's okay. There's nothing wrong with taking someone in and loving them no matter where they're from. In fact, it's good because there are so many children that need homes yet people still think they need to create more instead of helping the kids that already exist. Think about that, guys.

I'm adopted, and the "your adopted because your parents didn't love you" joke, is not a joke.

I'm literally so grateful they included this. I'm adopted, and growing up being asked so much about it just really shows you how little people actually know about adoption.

I've actually been thinking about adopting recently. I'm only 22, but when I'm ready and when it's time, I can't think of a better way to positively impact someone's life

I was convinced that I was adopted when I was 5-6. I still don't know why I thought this.

I'm adopted but I was not unwanted. I don't know my birth father and I am incredibly close to my adoptive parents.

I think it's pretty disrespectful to comment only about why this isn't ' I'm an atheïst but not...' video. I'm adopted and that creates a lot of struggle. It makes me feel a lot better that I'm not alone dealing with this, that other adopted people feel like this. Like a lot of people ask things such as "do you want to meet your 'real' parents?" and that question really sucks. A lot of people don't know that so this video is great to point that out.

I'm adopted and I want to definitely adopt when the time comes. It meant so much to me that I was wanted.

What I hate is when people say your real mom is the who gave life to you, urgh no it's the one who was there to care and love you throughout your life
