Not saying the storyline is confusing, I'm saying the basis of the movie is confusing. They're sending more people to die (and we all know they're going to die since that's how movies work) just to get revenge....it's not an intelligent move.

They're trying to torture him and kill him, they take his wife to make him watch as she dies first, daughter has to help her dad just like he did for her. It's not that complicated... :/

Well he did kill the Albanian Mafia's son so... dad wants the man who killed his son dead, but he also wants to make him suffer.
Human beings were never the smartest nail in the box.
I get that feeling too, because a person ends up seeing so many movies, that we now always know good guys win...bad guys die... It's really rare to find a movie where the ending is innovative like the movie "The Mist" (2007) that movie's ending leaves the person with a horrible feeling, it just shocks people.
