If you install a card in the low-profile slot it will be component side up - the heatsinks won't collide, but you need to be able to install the lid.

They’re a good value and you can get most anything you want from just the motherboard to a bare bones system to various factory configurations to add-on and replacement components. Supermicro also makes hardware that blows away most of what Netgate and IX Systems sells for the price.

SuperMicro, If you were to build a website like Dell to market your servers, the world would be yours. Trying to figure out how to or outfit your system to purchase is too complicated for most technicians. We know you OEM for reliable companies so we know your equipment is good. Please hire some marketing folks that have worked with Dell and take what is rightfully yours. Give us another viable company to buy servers from.

Power usage? Thermals? Noise? It’s no surprise a server runs stuff, most all do. But it’s how much they cost doing it that differentiates imho.

you missed the part that u have to buy a oob licence for remote bios update... still the best ipmi out there, would buy again.

I love to find a server that can take 2 processors, with Intel HD, for my Blue Iris server. So it can be very very fast, and powerfull. You know of any good mother boards / processors that can take advantage of dual processors and the use of both on die HD graphics.
