No Mama Yong does not need to go back to Korea, it’s obvious this woman had a very negative experience when she went back. It wasn’t tolerated being with someone outside your race back then especially a black man or woman. Mama Yong is celebrated and appreciated where she is, she does not need to fly somewhere that will only open old wounds. For being 73 yrs old she is so strong and resilient. Go head Mama Y you truly are a gem and appreciated!!❤

That’s crazy that her relatives don’t mess with her cuz she had a black baby and stood beside him she gets all my respect 🫡

Most of the older Koreans I know from Philadelphia, DC, New Orleans, etc. speak fluent Ebonics because they often settled into Black communities. I also find Korean food and Soul Food to be very similar in some ways. I love the unity their family represents.

I want a sitcom of her and Jonathan. Their bickering is gold.

I am black Korean and I feel Johnathan when he said they don’t really fool with mama young cause she messed with a black dude. My grandfather brought my grandmother to the US 60 years ago, and we have never met any of her folks. Kind of sad

I'm Black and I love Korean dramas and Korean food. Not surprised Mama Yong can make soul food. She is definitely invited to the community cookout.

reminds me of my grandma and even sounds like her too!
my grandma came to America from korea in like the 1970s after being an army chef and barley made Korean food or ever spoke Korean to my mom. She was always making Italian or American or Mexican or whatever and loved cooking. She even said slang like ¨you gon eat that homegirl¨ because of the area she lived in. its just really heart warming to see this cuz it reminds me alot

Finna is part of Black culture. We know where she learned it. 😂😂😂 I’ve always thought our cultures overlapped. I’m glad there’s an updated video with them bc I wondered from the other one why she didn’t really mess with her people. I see why now. Much love this was dope! ❤

She did a good job for just learning by watching people. I like the fact that she cook like us! But we gotta teach Mama how to make a roux! But i love her, my Mama Korean and she talks this way, less swearing but very similar.

I also really like the way she keep everything so clean and after Johnathan rile her up, she pop off what she had to say and doesn't pay him anymore attention🤣 though he keeps it up, she just goes right on along. Nobody can do this like a Mom can!

It’s crazy how our older folks keep secrets about family. I try to pry things out my grandma and she won’t budge
