Hey! In this video I will show you how I made the Meteor lamp! It was a secret project (for my Instagram friends he-he). I came up with this idea back in the summer when it was not always sunny outside, but warm.
As usual, I didn't need a potter's wheel to create this lamp. I used the hand-building technique.
In this video, I also added a bit of what happens during the creation of the project - going to the store, assembling the electrical part inside the clay lamp and using epoxy with fired clay.

Timecodes:
00:24 - sketching
00:56 - choosing ceramic glaze and clay from test tiles
01:41 - tiny hardware shopping vlog
02:12 - how to prepare home for working with clay
02:43 - sculpting a huge hollow sphere of clay
06:52 - making ceramic electric clay cartridge  cover
11:32 - glazing the future lamp in green stone glaze
11:41 - mixing and thickening the ceramic glaze
12:06 - applying ceramic glaze with a brush
13:46 - PTERODACTYL flew outside the window
14:10 - reveal of ceramic glaze after firing in kiln
14:26 - using epoxy resin to fix bolts in clay
15:43 - connecting the electrical part for the lamp
16:58 - FINAL

In my Patreon you can find articles on how to identify and solve problems with glazes, how to look for inspiration in ceramics, how to promote your IG, how a kiln works and how to start a small business on instagram! (Tiny Ceramic Lovers Club 3$)

How did you get the glaze that texture, I love it but don’t know what makes it rough and organic looking like yours. Awesome video!

Hey! I have followed you on Instagram for awhile and didn’t realize you had a YouTube channel! So cool to see you on here too! I was wondering if would be willing to say what pieces you are using for the electrical?
