You can clearly ear the exhaust valve opening and closing depending on RPMs and throttle demand. Something that must easily be unplugged if needs be :)

For me personally nothing can match the sound of an Aprilia V4! Great video Schaaf!

The sound is phenomenal! The Tuono is unbeatable in precision, performance and sound. I am riding an Euro4 with the Akrapovic and it feels like beeing in a concert hall 😍Thx for the video !

You never disappoint. Euro 5 didn't kill the sound thats nice, I'll gotta double check that irl tho

With the Gabro flash, all the throttle jerkiness goes away. Made a huge difference on my 2021 base

This bike was always my dream naked bike. I finally pulled the trigger on a brand new 2022 in white, just like this one! Everything from the exhaust note down to the quick shifter has been amazing. Thanks for tipping the scales for me! (Since you asked, I rode the Factory as well and the only difference is the electronic suspension [for the most part]. I felt no other really noticeable differences)

I've never ridden this more touring oriented version of the Tuono, but I am the proud owner of the Factory version. The suspension is amazing and can be set hard for when you find a perfect stretch of asphalt and corners, but also nice and plush for when you ride through villages, or speedbumps.
The sound is muted with a valve in the muffler, but when you hit 5k rpm, it opens and it sounds like nothing is even slightly muted. I like it because you can ride through the city (somewhat) civilised, but when you reach the open roads you can enjoy the amazing V4 howl which was the main selling point for me.

Besides that, this bike is way too fast for the normal road and it makes me smile like a maniac with the sheer speed and noise it produces. Even though it's the factory version I have ridden more than 500km a day on multiple occasions, helped by the blessing called cruise control. Besides the touring version being cheaper I don't really see the point of it, because the paintschemes are a bit meh (personal opinion ofc), and most people will buy it as a crazy naked bike. The factory version isn't suitable for the sidecases on the back though which you can fit on the touring version.

All in all I am still in love with the Factory version and the touring version just isn't for me. But if you want to save €2.5k (in the Nethelands that is, I don't know the price difference in other countries) and basicly still get the same performance, the touring version will still be a blast. And you won't run into anyone else with the same bike very quickly since Aprilia is actually still quite a small brand.

I had a 2017 RR. Marvelous piece of machinery! I now have a PP 1260.

If Aprilia would take this motor and use it in an application more along the lines of a Multistrada, I would buy one— guaranteed!

OK, the best test of the sound would be 'live' from on the bike but, to me, it still sounds glorious (and on the overrun). Being quiet on low throttle is an advantage - less annoying for the rider on a long run and less disturbing for bystanders who largely probably don't appreciate loud V4 music. Thanks 👍

The sound is pure art. How did they menage to bring something like that out is incredibile. "Tuono" in italian means "Thunder", whic capture exactely the sound of the bike. Its almost music tbh

You sir have captured this soundtrack just great! Gosh how I love this bike. It was my dreambike and now I have it. Every ride is so exciting + Akrapovic sound... Imo best sport-oriented naked on the market.
