Saw Robin last year in Gateshead and playing in my home town of Glasgow in May, can’t wait ! He’s 80 and I’m nearly 70, pensioners outing 🤣🤣

Usually, being myself a prog-avant garde guitarist who came from the late 60's and the great 70's, I don't appreciate blues, rhythm'&'blues, pure rock and related styles... But... Except when played by the great ROBIN TROWER !!! This perfomance is truly AWESOME, and clearly demonstrates someone who, almost completing 80 years old in the next days achieved, along decades and decades, ENTIRE FREEDOM ON GUITAR PLAYING... Wow... Robin is a great example of how an initially prog-classical guitarist who begun with Procol Harum, in the late 60's - at that time helping to pioneer the development of progressive guitar -, suddenly decides to change to rhythm&blues ( about 1973 ), under a strong Hendrix influence, wonderfully and amazingly succeeds on that style... and now, almost at the age of 80, acquires ENTIRE FREEDOM playing on a... relatively 'simple' (?!?) Stratocaster ! ( but, of course, especially adapted to him, as he explains... ). No doubt, a great guitar hero and legend whom all of us have to honour. Thousands of congratulations, great Robin !

Is it just me or does it sound like the battery in his Fuzztone needs to be replaced? All these Trower hits went over real big in Flint Michigan, especially when you played them Tank Town Loud!!
