Ingenious Hunter has been a sleeper OP rune for a pretty long time. Always used it on support or when I knew the majority of the items I wanted to build had cooldowns. Did once with Everfrost on Swain and it was good time, Everfrost had around 4 or 5 seconds of cooldown since I had Cosmic Insight too.

Volibear doesn't even have any synergies with this rune. He is just a point and click fat champion who scales with both ap and ad

i would personally recommend eclipse instead of zhonas and also rushing eclipse, it gives a lot of kill pressure and the ability to almost win every 1v2 early on.

full build would be, eclipse, tear item, spirit visage, unending dispair and lastly sterags.

you can also go sterags second or third to protect you from damage and letting you gain passive damage over levels due to the sterags passive.

I used to play this rune back in the day for offmeta supports like swain or veigar with support items to make them work better (solaris with 20s cd for example). I gotta build a new page for champs that don't use electrocute so i could play with nice items all the time :)

Ever since the new items came out and even before then I've been using the rune. I'm honestly surprised it took this long to catch on.

Not broken if you consider that you have to opt for domination tree to pull off a late game fantasy

Briar with Ingenious is my jam. and you are basically a drain tank.

The main issue is just the sheer amount of low CD healing/damage items.

Sundered sky, unending despair, eclipse, Fimbulwinter, etc.

These effects are all on around a 6s CD, when they should be on a 10-12s CD.

Fimbul is fine on its own, but the fact that they have made healing so accessible in items is just bad

Not like Ingenius hunter is broken or anything. Honey reason it’s starting to get play like this is because all the other options in that part of the domination tree have already been gutted to the ground.

They take 2 points off the top for item haste and make it scale throughout the match and cap after 18 minutes

i think rather than ingenious needing a nerf, the other hunter runes need a buff
