Jonathan said that the amount of early access key redeems have already exceeded POE1s peak player count. These servers aren't gonna make it

Would recommend you to play PoE 2 with a Controller with that nerve pain, stay healthy

Hi Kripp, i just want to say thank you! I started watching you play PoE alpha while i was in the hospital and it really helped me back then. Following you and the game over the years is almost like watching old friends grow.

Regarding the skill tree, in the interview with DM/Ghazzy, Jonathan states that the beginning clusters can actually change slightly depending on your starting class.

I also ran into ulnar nerve issues from over/repetitive keyboard use. Using a controller helps significantly - PoE 1 plays okay with a controller, and I'm suspecting PoE 2 will have much better controller support. I highly suggest wrist stretches to any of ya'll youngsters out there who do a lot of keyboard and mouse gaming. Ulnar nerve / carpal tunnel problems are super common.

I love that they removed the life nodes in the passive tree, always felt like I had to put majority of points into life instead of exploring different things that are more fun.

Damn, that part about your physical problems hit hard. Going through a similar situation myself with chronic wrist pain still remaining after a surgery. :(
Wishing you a good recovery so that you can continue doing what you love.

old man kripp has done his part already. your early poe1 vids were some of my favorite youtube content of all time, second only to that one video where you threw the wannabe proplayer artemis into the trash can where he belongs.

I feel you kripp, I've had intermittent bouts of cubital tunnel, carpal tunnel and radial tunnel over the years and that stuff is not fun at all. One of the reasons why I'm excited for POE2 is because they are giving us wasd and controller support. I really hope it plays well on the steam deck also for that reason.

As an aside, as a software engineer, I have to be on a keyboard everyday and that's why I've had these nerve problems in the past. The way I fixed them or made it so that I am very unlikely to get them again is by changing my setup significantly. I have a split keyboard - a glove80 which is mounted on my chair via the armrests, I have an adjustable desk that can change into a standing desk, I've got a really nice mouse that's very comfortable and I have a large mouse pad that sits on top of my desk so that I can rest my arm completely on the desk without putting pressure on any of my nerves etc. I also got rid of my gamer chair as the buckets tend to be pretty bad for nerve issues mostly because the arm rests are not usually as adjustable as they could be and the lumbar is pretty bad compared to high-end office chairs. Obviously everybody has their own ergonomic situation but I would recommend doing some experimentation and maybe you will find a setup that will eventually help you. I know my experience is anecdotal but without this radical overall, I would likely be out of work or severely disabled.

Another thing that a lot of people seem to ignore is a good bed. I found myself a really good mattress that is firm enough but also not too firm as to depress my nerves while I sleep at night. I sleep on my back so my arms are usually splayed out to my side, and with a really hard or soft mattress the nerves in my wrist and elbow can become depressed because I don't move at all at night. That's another thing to think about.

@kripparrian try playing with a controller, maybe that will help your arm.

Kripp is still the GOAT at these games. I'm more excited to watch him playing POE2 than I am to play it myself. Hell yeah!
