Stephen Colbert took over as host of The Late Show on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015. Obama was the first democratically elected minority black president in a majority white country

Isabel Peron was the first democratically elected female president (she was elected in 1974)

that is why Hillary Clinton being the first female US president wouldn't be as big a splash, because it only applies to the US, and not the world at large, whereas what Obama did wasn't just influential for the US, but for the world at large

if you want to tell your daughter she can be president just look at Isabel Peron (actually since she is under arrest in Spain, maybe don't do that, which is another reason why you shouldn't look up to people)
