This is my goal for next year. I've noticed I use less than 50% of my baits/lures.

Very appropriate topic given the overwhelming supply of lures/baits that exist. Great suggestions and back to keeping it simple!

So true! Went on an unplanned fishing day trip recently. Had none of my own tackle with me so borrowed two setups from my buddy. White swim jig and a topwater popper. Had a great time and caught loads! No time spent digging through tackle boxes.

I definitely needed a video like this lol. Sometimes I carry so much tackle I confuse myself

Thanks Ty, a dropshot is more of a technique rather than a lure.

It’s funny you posted this video today. I went to a little pond yesterday decided I got way too much crap with me and went all the way down to a 3500 tackle bag with a few trays and a few small kits. No need for all that complicated stuff.

I kill with a Texas rig!!! Fish it anywhere and everywhere!!! It catches fish no matter what

Thanx Tyler. I like the approach but it's area and seasonal dependent. I also do not like the dropshot and would probably put a neko in place.
When grass gets to thick for a chatterbait out comes a swimjig.

Those are some great retrieval tips! Could you also do a video on the basics of fishing a jerkbait (I’m sure you’ve done one before), but include how you tie on your jerkbait this time.

I'm afraidi can't do that Tyler. I feel compelled to try out a new lure whenever I see it.

With only finesse fishing, I only carry around one lure box in a waist bag which contains several types of lures. More than enough for a bank beater like me.

Just don't ask me how many packets of soft plastics I squeeze in alongside that box.

It took me many years too and I still got way to many of many !!

Just started using a chatter bait more than I ever have this year. Once you get the hang of it it’s an amazing lure.

This is why my winter arsenal includes a big flutter spoon. I can let it fall slow, rip it up fast, and change sizes to find what they are eating on.

Yet to have a bite on a chatterbait. More bites from rocks snagging me off.

Just got three trucker hats, one in each color! Tyler, you’re the man.

I would even go one step farther. With a chatterbait I would say the ChatterBait stealth if you have more than 2 ft of visibility. I think it is one of the most underutilized lures on the market. I catch fish on the Chaturbate stealth all the way down to 40° water

Don't sleep on the Berkley Nessie soft glide baits. They're lighter weight and cheap enough for anyone to try. I have several colors of the 5" and 7".
