Excellent description, and a very fun game to pick. Don't Rest Your Head is one of my favorite systems and is almost limitlessly reskinnable; it is perhaps the best mechanics for "power at a price" of any system I've ever used. As such, in addition to being quite a lot of fun as-is with a flavorful setting, it can also easily be adapted to any other game where avoiding falling to extremes or tapping into powers that will eventually burn you out is a theme.
