They said they lost one of mine. $120 book.. just vanished!! CGC said they checked their security camera twice but found no sign of theft. Not sure what to do but this company definitely isn't winning me over.

I sent in a dark knight returns 1 in a 9.6 to be signed by Frank Miller and it came back damaged and a 6.5

How you or anyone keeps using a "service" after they destroy the comic & take no responsibility is utterly beyond my comprehension. . .what if they had done that to a book worth many thousands of dollars or more??? If they did that to some rare Golden Age book you'd still keep sending them books and money? Mind-boggling. . . .

CGC strikes again! Destroying more comic books than mold and water.

Underrated move of the century. photograph incoming items from customers to avoid upset customers over damage. Sometimes the easiest fixes are the smartest. PSA will be a customer first company.

You’re right about the new Batman series. The pacing is slow, the action scenes are boring and the DEI race/gender swappings make no sense in a retro period piece. A complete disappointment.

Thank you - oh boy on the ToS 99. And agree on the new PSA “system entry” protocols for books from photos to security. That’s very encouraging. And apparently back then it’s all about the wallet, not the cash.

*ADJUSTED FOR INFLATION:*
_$2.98 in 1945 is $52 in 2024, 1645% increase._
*_Also, if it's on the back of a comic book, it's meant for kids, and it's supposed to be in-expensive or cheap, right?_*

I sent CGC a first appearance of spider Gwen first print in mint condition... I got it back with a crinkled cover. they dropped water on the middle of the cover. Destroy the book. Of course did not take ownership. 👎

I've had weird damage like that a few times, just part of the cost of doing business unfortunately, as you already know.. still sucks when it happens

I'm surprised you don't take pictures of your comics, front and back before sending them to get graded.

re: the wallet... $3 in 1945 is worth ~$53 today

Once you get past the first two episodes it gets better. I sat through the whole season in one go. But i had to fight through the first two.

According to inflation calculator $2.95 in 1945 is equivalent to $51.49 in today's money...

Notice Fred and Betty have real eyes where Thelma and Barney have dead eyes.
That wallet is decayed in the landfill decades ago, the 10¢ comic is worth $1999. 😅

*ADJUSTED FOR INFLATION:*
*_10¢ in 1945 is $3 in 2024, 3, 000% increase._*

*_As far as i know, Marvel Studios/Disney "Grandfathered" Marvel Comics, so it can never go bankrupt again and Marvel Comics does NOT HAVE TO MAKE A PROFIT._*
*_So why not just price all marvel Comics $3, and take ALL the market?_*
*_The comic books are just an advert for the theme parks and the movies and toys and other merch; Marvel Comics should be cheaper._*

That wallet tangent you went on was hilarious. 😂😂😂

Sorry to hear about your book being damaged. I’ve had the same issue many times with spine splits that were never there before. Glad PSA is going to do that.

I’m not great at grading, but I’m surprised that a completely split book can still get a 2.0

Dave, did you see any of the latest videos from Swagglehaus? He did one from SDCC interviewing some dealers about PSA getting into comics and the old boy, Richard from Bedrock City Comics threw some shade at PSA because of the head grader they hired, saying he won't consider them for that reason and some other things. I couldn't help but think, is that Dave's dad he's talking about!? You know anything about this? Sounds like there's some bitter history between them.
