I was impressed this morning watching on the news, a chef who took a boat to The Bahamas to cook up a lot of food for all the victims of Hurricane Dorian! Now that impressed me! And people
volunteering with Mercy Corp to go help them too!

Totally agree. It's sad when I hear kids putting other kids down for not wearing brand name clothes or their parents not having an expensive car. Things like that.

What impresses me when I see genuine kindness and humbleness in a person and I value this then all the gold in the world.

What's so sad is seeing a family at a restaurant, and everyone's attention is on their cell phones!

Completely agree with #5. I'm so impressed when i meet someone who is giving, rather that wealthy. Giving people are always helping others in small or big ways. They hold doors, help young moms in the grocery store, and just do what they can when they can. They are a far greater treasure in this world than large bank accounts.

Very true. It is so freeing having less "stuff".

Love this! I wish we could all step away from materialism and step into a higher life that values people over things.

Yes to all 7. I still have a flip phone and a 2002 Honda. In retirement, less is more.

When you put aside all this material stuff one becomes so much lighter...in all perspectives.

Totally agree with all your 7 points. You had mentioned you were impressed by people who give more to charity which is a good thing. I am also impressed by people who have successfully taken a path of spiritualism and self realization.

I deleted Facebook and Twitter almost 1, 5 years ago. I miss your content, Joshua, but I am so glad you started this channel. I also follow your blog, thanks. No one needed Facebook in 90's, no one needs it now, life is so much better without it. You feel content, you see less ads, you compare less to fake posts, reason enough! This is your ticket to freedom!

We live surrounded by people for whom all this is most important! And when someone wants to live peacefully without all these ...our ' friends ' and ' well wishers ' make us feel inadequate! Thank you for boosting my morale and helping me on my journey. Thank you.

I appreciate your content! And I just want to live a life of gratitude toward God and be a blessing to those around me. Having a smaller house and reasonable vehicle and not being consumed with things I really don't need helps me invest in others, missions and our church. My relationship with God, family and others are truly the greatest treasures. Blessings to you and your family! 😊 And...thanks for all your time and positive videos!

Thanks Joshua for all of your clips on youtube. Excellent. They are very helpful to me. I start learning becoming a minimalist. Every morning before a new day I watch one of your clip to remind me stop buying new things and reduce my unnecessary stuffs. I believe that day by day (not immediately) I will become a real minimalist. Keep posting your new clips, Joshua. Thanks a lot. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
