I like how Level 1 is already moderately difficult. Makes you realize how far up the ladder of skill and talent goes.

Couldn't stop smiling when they each played their "own" cadenzas--and now Mendelssohn added to the list! So awesome.

Eddy's intense playing with the occasional soulful look directed "at us, " or a sigh. Brett's passionate playing sometimes with a small jump of intensity, but he only has eyes for his violin. Both so captivating.

I wonder if Twoset gets discouraged sometimes, seeing that violin playing videos (the levels of / evolution of series) tend to get less views, despite the hard work put into practicing these excerpts. If so, I hope they know that there are many of us out here who love, appreciate and look forward to such videos! It's always great to see them in their element with no-nonsense violin playing! Plus, as a non-musician, these videos help expand my exposure to more classical music. Keep going :)

Love so much that Brett plays the pieces who require the “power”

Eddy said in an old video that he tried playing the cadenza from Shostakovich's first violin concerto once but couldn't because it's insanely difficult. Happy to see he managed playing it now!

Explenation: In music, a cadenza (from Italian: cadenza [kaˈdɛntsa], meaning cadence; plural, cadenze [kaˈdɛntse]) is, generically, an improvised or written-out ornamental passage played or sung by a soloist or soloists, usually in a "free" rhythmic style, and often allowing virtuosic display. During this time the accompaniment will rest, or sustain a note or chord. Thus an improvised cadenza is indicated in written notation by a fermata in all parts. A cadenza will usually occur over the final or penultimate note in a piece, the lead-in (German: Eingang)[6] or over the final or penultimate note in an important subsection of a piece. It can also be found before a final coda or ritornello.[3]

So happy to hear Eddy play the Shostakovich Violin Concerto cadenza. It's literally my favorite violin concerto right now.
