When I was young my mom bought me a SNES with a copy of Super Mario World a from a thrift store. I grew up in a very strict household. I set it up at my house and played it that night for a couple of minutes. I woke up the day afterward and found out that my mom threw away the SNES and Super Mario World. She said it was "bad". Years later, I finished Super Mario World on the Switch SNES app, and felt as I finally found the missing puzzle piece.

edit: well im here years later. what my mother did wasnt great, but ive grown to forgive her. she is not the woman she once was. she now sees how she raised me and my siblings was incorrect. I now love and cherish my mother with all my heart. I now see it wasn't her fault since her own father deprived of lifes simplest treasures. we must forgive others, especially your own family. I wouldn't change my mother if i had the chance
