I appreciate the help. Also waiting almost 2 minutes to get to the "quick" tip in the title of the video is not quick when you're outside in the rain trying to figure out how to get your charger out. I get if you're trying to lengthen the video for some algorithm purposes but putting the word "Quick tip" in the title and then talking about defrosting for some reason is an interesting tactic to say the least.

2:11 if my car is dead (ran out of battery), and its locked, then i cant get in to pull that lever. so if its dead, how do you open the charge port?

Great tip Chris, haven’t needed yet, but I bought a used Tesla S a month ago. I want to learn everything there is know about my Tesla. I am very familiar with Tesla cars tinted windows on them since they have arrived on the market. But owning is different, and it’s my daily driver.

What about the actual flap that opens? Will that open too? Like if your battery is totally dead and you can’t even open that?

I can't get my new Model Y to open then charge port when either pressing the button on the charging handle or Pressing the port door. It opens when I use the app or press the inside screen .

How would the car be charging if the charging port door is closed? Does Tesla have wireless charging?

Thats a ChargePointExpress EV charger, on the roght side of the station there is an emergency stop button, push it to stop the charging cycle. Then the handle will release from the vehcile as part of the emergency release function. Then have the tesla towed.

Our Tesla charger cannot be removed from the port because the whole Tesla is dead. They want us to take it towed to service center. How do we manually remove the charger when it’s dead
