Bullet time hack using a single gopro

Watch how it was made:

'Bullet Time" is traditionally done with a large rig covered in cameras. You need tons of them. At least it used to be. Now companies use super fast robotic arms and high speed cameras to achieve the same effect.

Luckily, the gopro hero3 black edition can film in 120fps, which means if I can just move the camera fast enough, I get "bullet time"! I created a simple rig for very little money that gets the job done nicely.

Here's the full writeup on how I built it.

Hey! can you explain how you did the flame? I want to create some "real" flame-effects myself, but i cant figure out how to achieve a goodlooking and safe way to produce a flame - yours looks very cool!

You need a 600fps camera... That would make it a whole lot closer to the target look.

What software did you use to edit/slow things down? I have the GoPro Hero3 Black Edition, I've shot @120fps and when I slow it down I get much better results. It seems off...
