Everyone has their likes and dislikes. My husband has a C8 Z06 and I have an Eray. He keeps a set of earplugs in his car for me. I cannot stand the sound of that engine drone. It drives me absolutely crazy. Having said that, his car will GET IT down the highway....but you know what? So will mine! They are 2 different cars for 2 different purposes. For me: Eray ALL. DAY. The E-Ray really is a have your cake & eat it too proposition. Excellent handling with adjustable mag ride & AWD. At some point there will be a Whipple bolt on kit with the necessary tune that keeps the overall powertrain in sync.

When I was shopping for my Vette I was fortunate enough to have friends that owned all three of the models. I first drove the ERay and was blown away by how well it rode, braked and the acceleration. The car was absolutely perfect but another friend kept boasting about his Z06. Comment like "if you liked that wait until you get in the Z". A couple weeks later I drove the Z06 and I can honestly say I didn't care for it. The ride was way too stiff. The lack of low end torque also turned me off. I felt like daily driving the car would get old having to spin the tach above 6K to feel anything so I wrote that one off.

Finally I drove the Stingray. While it didn't have the punch of the ERay, it certainly felt better than the Z06 in pretty much every way. Keep in mind this was on the street at normal speeds up to around 70 mph. I'm not trying to race the car.

I went and sat down with my dealer to get a price on an ERay. They told me they had the exact car I just spec'd but in a Stingray on the lot. The price they offered on the Stingray vs the car I spec'd was close to $50K. I walked with a 2LT, Z51 with front lift for $74K. The ERay was going to be $125K.

I'm completely happy with my choice. I've been following the ERay market for a few months now and I'm seeing discounts in 15% range at some dealers so I might make the move to the ERay in 2026/27 after they work out the bugs with the new interior.

Yes, E-Ray definitely the one for me, to replace the Stingray some day. But honestly I love my Stingray HTC so much, I don't feel the push to upgrade all that much.

Such a badass car. I daily my c8. Eray will be picked up later this year. The AWD and hooking without needing radials or warmed up tires is just so appealing for a daily driver.

I agree with the sentiment. I think the Eray is the superior vehicle for those of us looking for the best daily driving experience and road performance. Low end torque combined with all wheel drive? Hell yeah.

The Z06 is a show-off car/track car. The E-Ray is a upgraded Grand Sport...an all-around/all season type of car.

The sound of the engine is one of the biggest selling points of my z06. It’s a big deal to not have that. Trivializing the loss of the engine sound would be like someone saying you may as well get a Tesla plaid and say it destroys an eray but you just lose the engine sound. A plaid destroys an eray up to its limited top speed. Traps at over 150mph and mid 9s repeatedly with the ability to haul the whole family. The experience is completely different. My perfect garage has a z06, plaid, and sienna platinum.

I just recently added an AWE touring exhaust to my eray….let’s just say I am very happy and added that extra deeper sound I was looking for. It also looks amazing from the rear now!!!❤❤❤
