Daily Mail going straight into casual xenophobia, checks out.

Funny that the Daily Mail, the same paper that was glorifying the brownshirts, now claims it's a 'dark day' for England 🤦

Funny thing is if Pep took the job it would be absolutely fine. Hypocritical media, anything for a story. Who gives a toss if he's German, it's 2024!

Never understood the problem with not having an English coach - the rules literally say you can, so why would you give yourself a disadvantage when you don’t need to? I couldn’t care less as long as we’re competitive

Seeing that thumbnail about him being German. Grow up man.
Great coach, he's gonna do well

When was the last time a English manager won the Premier League?

I am german and i wish you guys good luck with Thomas, he is certainly a huge get for England.

But don't hype him up too much. You have a great team, but it won't magically get you a world cup. There are lots of great teams in this world. Argentina and Spain have what it takes to go all the way and us germans also try to comeback big and i would not count out nations like France and Italy.

So if Thomas does not win, i hope the fans don't immediatly scream "Tuchel out" because they like to do that with everyone.

These headlines are monstrous and disgusting the man is a football manager and a very successful one and that's all that should matter.

I think there would have been no backlash had they named Jurgen Klopp as the new English manager.

This boomer hatred of the Germans by the gammon brigade is embarrassing!

If Tuchel is getting paid the same as Gareth Southgate, then that is a bargain! Who would I rather have...Gareth "no medals" Southgate...or 11 major trophies Tuchel? It's a tough one!

Coaching and managing national sides is very different from club sides, especially big ones, where you can spend and spend. England has good players and lots of depth, but you have to get what you can out of what you've got.

Since the Internet the media is irrelevant now! As a Englishman I am proud to have Thomas Tuchel as my manager!

The majority of the General Public: "What a fantastic appointment !"

The Media: "Ze Germans have arrived !"

What is it with everyone?, the old fellas like Dean Saunders, Stuart Pearce, Harry Redknapp, and Sam Allardyce are not happy about it.

The problem is English/British coaches haven’t been good in decades, because we can’t seem to evolve in this country.

Spanish, Italian and German coaches evolved, the coaches over here can’t seem to evolve.

The papers are all fairly irrelevant these days. They can write what they want but who’s buying them?
