Does the Xiaomi allow you to pick how out of focus you want the background to be? Or does it always have to be that blurry?

Crazy that you can’t shoot this mode with the main lens but overall great camera system.

It's about comparing what all features at what price, and every Android beats every iPhone. The Xiaomi 13pro has an absolutely fantastic camera, without doubt, and at half the price of the iPhone Pro Max, far better battery life, far far better fast charging, hundred more features. The Xiaomi 13 pro, is many leagues ahead, on the camera and every other dept, just no comparison!
