Mike Pence talks Trump, abortion, faith, the midterms and his political future | NPR

Morning Edition host Steve Inskeep interviews former Vice President Mike Pence about his new book "So Help Me God.” They cover Pence’s experience of Jan 6 and how his relationship with Donald Trump has evolved since Pence refused to overturn their election defeat. Pence says that he and former President Donald Trump have since gone “our separate ways.”

Pence also reflects on the future of the Republican Party, the message that the midterms sent on abortion, and how he believes his faith has been misunderstood.

Nice interview, but it bugs me that he so openly states the need for conservatives on the courts. Courts should be unbiased. Obviously, they are going to have biases that can't be avoided but it shouldn't be a goal to put people in courts with open biases.

Don't share his political stands, but feel a lot of respect for Pence. He works for what he beliefs in and he seems honest.
