Good idea but some towns this isn't code compliant especially where i live! get an outlet box extender, basically it's a sleeve that fit firm!
2, 3, 4 outlet whatever the case!

Home depot also sells electrical box extension for this purpose in different sizes

The little metal tabs on either side of the screw hole snap off if you need them to to fit in the box.

The plate cover screws will not work. You need to chip away the tile under the screw holes.

So then you add the cover and screw into the tile???? Won’t it break???

So the screws to hold the face plate on, that screws directly into the tile? Will that crack it?

I WISH I had known about these little spacers before I wasted all that time cutting the stupid tile so the box would sit flush. ❤

make sure you have enough room behind the cover holes or else you won't be able to screw the cover on. And if you gotta drill tile once, might as well drill tile the whole way or just cut to adjust. Moral is, tiles and outlets suck to work with together lol
