How To Enable NVIDIA DSR (Dynamic Super Resolution) for GeForce

Welcome to a quick tutorial on how to enable NVIDIA dynamic super resolution aka DSR on your GeForce graphics card.
DSR lets you run your monitor on a higher than native resolution, i.e. a 1080p monitor can be run on 4K.

How To
=======
1) Simply right-click on your desktop and select the Nvidia control panel
2) Then go to Manage 3D settings.
3) Now simply scroll down to DSR factors.
4) You can see that you can increase your native resolution by x times. For instance on my old gaming monitor the native resolution is 1080p. So, if I want 4K, I obviously have to select four times to multiply 1080 by 4. If your native resolution is 1440p, your multiplier is 2,25. If you want 5K you have to multiply your native resolution of 1440p by 4.
5) Next up you can go to Display and then change the resolution to whatever you specified in the 3D settings DSR Factors.

Man, after applying the settings it blew my mind!!!! Although, I noticed that when taking photos in-game it bothered me a little bit... But I can tell the difference and the quality turned up pretty well.

Would be nice if this video was updated since this option doesn't appear to be in the newer driver (running a 3080TI)

Hey, hoping that you are still reading comments 😅
Do you know if it is possible to get DSR higher than 4x? I have noticed that on some PC's its even locked to something like 2.5x. Is it a hardware limitation?

HI TechRacoon,
from what I read so far, this option is not available on Laptop, nor on Quadros(dektop/mobile)
Or am I wrong? Is there a way to "teach" the quadro drivers to show DSR options?

What happens if you don't have that option? I have a 4090 and want to disable it.

I have a 144hz monitor, a ryzen 7 7800 3xd and a rtx 4090..ive only been in pc gaming for 2 months now but im noticing that when i try to run 4k resolution on most games it looks pixelated and a little distorted and hard to adjust settings to get it clear..i have to use 6k and up for the picture to look good and it looks amazing but im getting only 40 to 60 and sometimes up to 80hz with that resolution and i cant figure this out..a while ago i changed the dsr factors settings in nvidia control panel enabling 5k -8k resolution. Could that be the reason for this?
