Ofc if we had Sturridge it'd be much better but Rooney can play the false nine role and has been in great form for England, and hasn't been too bad for United recently. He could bring guys like Walcott and Sterling into the game. Wilshere and Barkley are two of our most talented players and must start. Obviously Alli is right behind them albeit inexperienced and young. Sturridge and Kane are right in contention for the striker role but if we played Kane we'd have to change our wingers to players who can cross the ball and not Sterling and Walcott who try and cut in.
