I wish her the best. In the press conferences she gave, she seemed focused, well spoken and serious about her job. I know someone (now a retired officer) who knew her when she was head of the detectives in Nassau County and he had this to say/text:

"She has worked hard for her entire career. Adams thought he'd become famous by checking a box in hiring her. What he didn't realize is that he was hiring someone who could actually do the job and was smarter than anyone in that administration. Well surprise Eric, she could have straightened out the city, if given a chance. Respect to her. He wants a puppet and she is nobody's puppet.""
