I like how this fight is similar to thordan back in HW expansion

You can clearly see the panic in her motion and words, we survived her most damaging attack and confused why we still alive, after that she just.... Panicking, sweeping her hand in frantic, all her grace and coldness from before just completely gone, she really dont know what else to do, she finally felt fear for the first time

I'll never forget when I played this duty and after the tank limit break, someone who knew that it was my first time told me I had to use LB right after. Panicked, I didn't understand, as our LB bar was empty and I didn't want to wipe out team. My teammates even were like "DUDE DO THE LB WE'RE GOING TO DIE ".
I thought we had died, everyone in the chat was like "bruh come on" and then thancred's voice appeared, followed by all the scions. A truly amazing moment.
I'll never forget that one comment in the chat : "thank god thancred and all our friends were here and knew how to lb". Only a moment ff14 could provide.

It's fun to see that her attacks in the first phase are meticulously calculated and planned catastrophes, sometimes repeated -- and then she hits phase 2 and the desperation starts to show, where she's just flailing wildly and screaming at you.

I realize that the reason the Scion's prayer to protect someone worked this time. Back in the ARR trailer, they tried the same thing to protect Louisoux and or seal Bahamut. But during the Warrior of Light's trial against the Endsinger, it worked due to the amount of Dynamis in the environment. Their literal feelings projected a shield that they could not bring during the Seventh Umbral Calamity.

kinda love how it almost looks like her model changes to be much brighter coloured in second phase. probably due to the lighting but it makes it feel like as a creature of dynamis even she is being affected by our hope and yet still desperately clings on to the despair that gives her meaning

As someone who's struggled with suicidal thoughts their entire life, the theme of this expac resonated really strongly with me, because it's a struggle I had as well: why live when life is full of pain? Well, I eventually came to the same conclusion that we do in the story: life can be pretty terrible, but it's the moments of joy and happiness that make it worth living. That's its meaning, in those little sparks like fireflies on a summer night. The hope that tomorrow will be better. And that's what we came to represent as the WoL: hope in the face of unyielding despair.

If you look at the edges of her wings, there's blue. Your character is such a Hopebringer that you can bring hope to a being that has been overwhelmed by literally millennia of despair. That's Azem's power.
