In Silicon Valley, who wouldn't get burnt out. High cost of living --so high--, competition everywhere. Rising cost of rent/housing.

Usually there's a honey moon phase in the Bay Area when you love everything, getting paid well, so many things to do.. Then you realize everyone's doing the same thing, paid the same, and you start getting disgusted with the area. SF getting full of snobby tech kids with 120k+ salary. AND there's more pressure at work, (rat race cycle), then your landlord raises your rent.

Though, once you get past this bottom, you'll start enjoying the little things, and forget whatever 'was' a big deal to you. At least, I'm getting out of the bottom :)

Self care is the best, life is about you and in our modern world you can’t really take breaks whenever you want until you clearly address what it is that’s giving you problems yourself.

So happy to hear you're doing better! Also I know it's tough opening up, especially online to thousands of people but it's great that you're sharing your story, building connections and allowing others to remember to practice self-care. I hope we can meet up next time when I'm in the Bay area :) Love all your videos!

keep spending more time on your mental & physical health! I'm a freshman in high school with all ap classes (it makes my life quite miserable tbh). I thought my mental and physical health didn't matter until I eventually broke down. but now, I'm working on my mental and physical health. I'm starting to develop a healthier diet. although, I'm already somewhat fit, I'm still trying to get exercise on a regular basis but the weather has simply been bad lately (so has my lack of motivation). I love like love running and it's probably the only physical activity I take pride in and will literally go all out on but when you have overprotective parents, oh nah.. don't even try! 😂😂 (I can't run any further than my street which is only like a 2-3 minute run). anyway, I've just been struggling with burn outs for a while now:)) since I'm a socially awkward person as well, I've decided to no longer be a lone wolf at my school and have actually made some good friends. honestly people always say that they feel bad for me and go in aw when I say I don't have a partner? like a sad puppy... !?😂🙃

I started to learn about Web Development for about 2 months. It is really hard to keep the momentum because there is little time left for learning after work. But I get energy from watching videos of you and other developers. So thank you and welcome back!

+1 for the new format. Glad you're making choices to improve at a pace that you can handle. Keep it up and enjoy your vacation!
2018 has been going really well for me so far, looking forward in finishing up a couple projects in the next couple weeks (thx for asking).

You are doing great! Life has ups and downs, you really have to figure out what is important for YOU. My son is fascinated about Japan. And luckily we are going there for 2 weeks this summer.

The new format isn't bad. Kinda enjoyed it. Currently even I'm a bit burned out and overwhelmed by the changes and stuff happening in my life. Longing for a partner or a companion that can support me. Your video was encouraging and I'm trying to calm myself down, slow down a bit, get more sleep etc. Nice video, keep making these.

I LOVE YOUR ACCENT!
I'm Italian (14 years old) and half bilingual, but I can't understand a lot of Americans cause of their accent, your discourses are so clear!
