Thank you, Bob!🌷I’ve read only three of the shortlisted novels, Time Shelter, Boulder and Standing Heavy. I think Time Shelter deserves the prize. I also liked Boulder very much, but the one I loved was actually Standing Heavy.

It was the one I most looked forward to reading. Had given up on it winning though. SB and Boulder seemed to have the YT votes.

I bought it because I loved the cover of the uk edition but haven’t managed to get to it yet. That might sound a bit shallow but hey!

I was rooting for "Whale" because I really loved that book. But I think "Time Shelter" is a better book, and I am not dissapointed. Actually, I think the only way I would have been disappointed is if the judges went Pulitzer on us and gave a shared prize to Maryse Condé and any of the other shortlisters.

Just reading this currently. Finding it quite challenging but hey, that's a good thing that one has to think. I liked Boulder and Whale. But yes, Time Shelter fulfills the whole internationalism of this prize so well done ❤

I wanted the win to go to Still Born or Boulder, but didn't read Time Shelter so I know that makes my opinion limited.

I was intrigued by the author's comment
which I read in the Guardian:

"and the problem with dystopian novels in dystopian times
is that they become documentaries."

That and of course you as a "social media influencer"
led me to get the eBook from my local retailer
and it was surprisingly cheap.
(cheaper than an Agatha Christie novel LOL)
