Ovation Balladeer 1861

Showing off how amazing these Ovations are! Video demo of my 1996 Ovation Balladeer model 1861. Sorry for the noise in the talking parts. I was having issues with a mic connection. I've used this guitar in these other video demos before:

Shallow bowl sounds good unplugged I also have a couple of ovation guitars including ce48p shallow bowl brilliant sound and so comfortable no sharp edges digging into your ribs keep up the videos on the ovation guitars there very good thanks

I have this same model with same preamp. Like the shallow bowl for playing standing.
The eq on this preamp is bypassable, I have a trick for using this function. I would set the eq on the amp or eq pedal for strumming with the eq on the guitar bypassed then set the eq on the guitar preamp as a mid boost for finger picking setting.

I just bought a new to me Ovation Balladeer 1861 at Guitar Center today, although I couldn't take possession because it was a return and due to the Pandemics restrictions I can't pick it up until next Saturday, I'm very excited though as it's in great shape and it's the best set up guitar I have ever played, the action is perfect. The color is Natural, just like your video.

I have the 1862 Custom Balladeer but it's basically the same guitar! Absolutely love the thing, I prefer it to most higher end guitars I've played from other companies, these Ovations are fantastic instruments!

These always sound so much better without the electronics. The bass is lost when its used. "quacky"
