The Idahoan shares his paraphrase of the 71st psalm.

Lyrics:

Lord, Thou hast been my foundation,
My fortress and stronghold,
Where I resort continually,
And in Thy strength wax bold.
In Thee I’ve dwelt e’en since my youth,
Forsake me not as I grow old!

Thou art mine only hope, oh Lord,
In Thee alone I trust!
You’ve always saved my by your Word,
According to Your righteousness!
Ever since my day of birth,
My life’s been in Your hand,
And all my days upon this earth,
You’ve given me the strength to stand!

Deliver me yet once again,
From men unrighteous, wicked, cruel,
Who my demise do scheme and plan,
Thinking me now vulnerable.
Let me escape to their chagrin,
As their haughty souls You humble!

And let my mouth be filled with praise,
That I may bring honor to Your Name,
More and more throughout my days,
Joyfully spreading your fame,
For great are all Thy works, oh Lord,
And Thy righteousness most high;
Though You’ve shown me troubles great and sore,
You comfort me on ev’ry side.

‘Til You lift me out of my distress,
To exalted be with Thee,
Where I’ll praise Thy truth and righteousness,
With harp and psaltery!
My lips there greatly shall rejoice,
For Thou hast my soul redeemed,
And my tongue praise Thee with ceaseless voice,
For my foes stand vanquished and ashamed!

My teacher You have always been,
Ever since my youth;
Help me to teach this generation,
Thy wisdom and Thy truth,
That they may know Your salvation,
Before I leave this earth!

Sounding good in Idaho. How come you don't have a 1911? I shot mine the other day & realized just how good they are.
