RIP to Franny Lee. These were the days when footballers didn't feel the need to pretend to be upset when scoring against their old clubs. There were plenty more examples like this, another being Joe Royle scoring for Man City against Everton, Everton being his 1st club and the club he supported as a boy. The only case I can think of where it didn't apply was when Denis Law scored with the backheel against Man United, knowing his goal could send them down. Ian Wright scored in a similar situation against Crystal Palace in 92/93 and celebrated like his goal had won the title for Arsenal, even though Arsenal were only mid-table and Palace got relegated. All these goals can be found on YouTube.
