Linear Equation - solving 8x-15=9 with rules

Linear equation in one variable is a statement equating two quantities. It uses an equal symbol. One quantity is linear polynomial and the other a constant. A linear polynomial is an algebraic expression with degree 1 or the highest exponent of the variable is 1.
