I was 16 in 1977. I never thought this to be a disco song at the time. And I was a Rock n Roll teenager then. I liked a lot of R&B and Motown too. Now I've seen that this is being categorized as a "Disco Song." There were a few songs I liked in the 70s that were branded disco songs, But they didn't sound disco to me. One example was "Get Down Tonight" by KC & t Sunshine Band. Though I knew then that they were pretty much Disco, I didn't and still don't here it as a disco song, It's sounds R&B to me. Youngs song may appeal to some people as Disco, but I dont think it was, originally.
