The Paris Agreement recognizes that its long-term goals will be achieved through time and, therefore, builds on a ratcheting up of aggregate and individual ambition over time. A mandatory cycle of contributions (NDC cycle), starting in 2020, is implicitly established. The webinar addresses this cycle and the “mechanics” of the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) cycle from different perspectives.
