Cruise is joined by a cast including Annabelle Wallis (upcoming King Arthur, television’s Peaky Blinders), Jake Johnson (Jurassic World) and Courtney B. Vance (TV’s American Crime Story: The People V. O.J. Simpson) and Oscar® winner Russell Crowe (Gladiator).

The creative team on this action-adventure event is led by director/producer Alex Kurtzman and producer Chris Morgan, who have been instrumental in growing some of the most successful franchises of the past several years—with Kurtzman writing or producing entries in the Transformers, Star Trek and Mission: Impossible series, and Morgan being the narrative engineer of the Fast & Furious saga as it has experienced explosive growth from its third chapter on. Sean Daniel, who produced the most recent Mummy trilogy, produces alongside Kurtzman and Morgan.

Has a lot of mummy characteristics. Modern military weapons vs ancient mummy magic, unusually attractive mummy, and swarms of bugs. I loved the original mummy so I'll definitely give this a go!

I realize that Mummy remakes have been going on for decades, so I don't hold any hate for this movie (well maybe because they cast Tom Cruise and his ego). That being said, I grew up on and absolutely loved Brendan Fraser's version and so this new reboot has me feeling a bit cold (especially because I loved the whole 1920's/30's feel of the other movies). Not sure If I'll see it in theatres but I'm trying to keep an open mind. I just goshdarn loved the last version so much...

I saw this movie the other night. And everyone has their own taste in movies and we like what we like. But for those that have not seen it. Here are my reasons why I like this movie. I won't give any spoilers that will ruin the movie.
1- digital effects are awesome especially when the two riders are running with the sand storm behind them.
2- the connection between Nick and The mummy throughout the movie is really good.
3- the sense of humor is good, especially when Jenny sees the Mummy alive for the first time. Lol 😂
4- the fight scenes are well made
5- awesome cast
6- the sets and shooting sites for the movie is awesome.
Here are the things I was not thrilled about. The movie did feel a bit rushed but some movies do not get as much film time like others. Nick's friend in the movie is funny to me but the second to last encounter between them was blah. Those are the only things I had a problem with the movie. Other than that, great movie, I recommend it to anyone that has the taste for Egyptian style, haunting, and doing what needs to be done for yourself. I hope this helps some people. Catch everyone later. I hope they make another movie and that Dracula Untold is connected to this universe in some way.

To the people that's constantly spamming "WHERE IS BRENDON WHERE IS BRENDON WHERE IS BRENDON" this isn't that "The Mummy" this is a version of the universal monsters The Mummy the one that Boris Karloff you know....back in the 30s or But I guess you kids today don't appreciate movies like that or have never even seen a movie from that time.... Sad
