Hello, I just got back yesterday from my 2 weeks vacation in Italy. I rented a car. We flew in to Milan and worked our way to Rome. We stayed in Verona for 2 days and drove to Venice for a day adventure, then drove to Florence for 4 days and went to see Siena, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, Pisa, Volterra, Val d'Orcia, then drove to Amalfi coast. We stayed in Maiori for 4 days and took the ferry to visit Amalfi, Positano and Capri. We then drove to Rome and stayed there for 4 days and went to see everything Rome had to offer. We parked the car in Maiori and Rome because you truly can’t drive there the congestion was too much. This was the adventure of a life time. A dream come true.

For the very reason you mentioned on the roads, when we did a tour of the Amalfi coast in our motorhome, we left the van in Pompeii and made use of the trains, buses and water taxis and let someone else take the strain! 🌟

When we visited the Amalfi coast we took a bus from the train station. Then caught the local bus to visit the different villages. We then took a boat from the port in Amalfi back to Salerno. It was easy peasy

Hi Nicki, this is a tip for your Buddha repair. You can disguise the glued cracks with some gold or maybe in your case silver paint. The Japanese has an art of repairing call Kintsugi, which means joining with gold. This technique involves gluing broken pieces back together with lacquer and decorating the cracks with gold or silver powder, and I must say the end result is very impressive.
