Kenyan student wins ticket to world final of Chinese language competition

The Confucius Institute and Chinese Embassy in Kenya hosted the country's 16th Chinese Bridge Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students on Friday. Guests were treated to a colourful show of traditional Chinese song and dance before the annual contest got underway. 16 students battled it out for a ticket to represent Kenya at the world finals in China. Judges picked the winner based on a Chinese language presentation, general knowledge of China and a performance.
