this clarified something that has been confounding me for months! I think I now understand why I was having hair-pulling moments with widget alignment... not computing that "content width" applies to what's INSIDE the container, not the container itself! sigh... that explains a lot to my wee brain. thank you.

Containers has been a nightmare for me. I used to be able to build stunning custom pages in 20 minutes. With containers it takes me 6 hours to do the same and I am totally frustrated. Total nightmare. I understand containers is supposed to improve load time....my sites typically load in about 3/4 of a second so this is an unwanted, unneeded change for no good reason for me. I can see retirement coming sooner because I can't take complex jobs anymore if I have to use containers. My only hope is that Elementor will continue to keep sections available long term. I love Elementors addition of AI though.

When i create my first container in new page sometimes it starts from the bottom of the header and some times right on top of the header. both times the margins and padding is set to zero. Why this is happening? please help.

Elementor requiring its users to choose between the old section/column/widget and the new flexbox/grid containers is the worst decision ever. Elementor should have just added containers along with the old way of doing things.
