Das ist mein Lieblingswerk von Wagner!
Die Komposition vermittelt Gefühle, die die Seele berühren. Er war ohne Zweifel ein Genie. Diese Musik sollte niemals sterben! Jedes Mal, wenn ich es höre, muss ich weinen, da es meine tiefen Gefühle sehr berührt.

Es steht im Liebethaler Grund, nahe der Lochmühle im Ortsteil Mühlsdorf der Gemeinde Lohmen/Sa. Hier am Ufer der Wesenitz hat Wagner während seines Aufenthaltes im nahen Graupa dieses Werk konzipiert.
