Shoutout to her teacher though for sticking with her for so long and for giving up her own time to help Hellen.

Please Add Captions to this video so that the Deaf have access to it!

Helen would have wanted a bio about her to be accessible.

The sad irony in fact that this video has no subtitles. What about other deaf persons (360 million worldwide, according the last WHO statistics)?

A most awesome individual. My favorite quote by Helen Keller is, “There’s nothing worse than having sight and no vision.” Beautiful lady and pretty child too. Praise God for her life and legacy. Rest in peace angel.

As a child with minimal brain dysfunction, school was very difficult for me. One teacher read a book about Helen Keller. I was inspired to attend university because of this. Previously I thought this would have been impossible.

I am so sad that I will never be able to meet this amazing woman, but I am so happy in a sense that my words will never explain well enough that she lived a life more full of joy than most of us will ever.

The professor at the end of the video spoke about Helen Keller and her living proof of being able to live a full and productive life...what an understatement! This amazing woman did so much more than many of us WITHOUT disabilities could ever do or hope to do!

Helen Keller was a truly inspirational person. She defeated the notion that blind and deaf people are always going to be restricted by their disability.Helen was an advocate for disability rights, women's suffrage, and pacifism.I respect Anne Sullivan for learning Helen to finger spell and achieve the freedom to communicate effectively and live her life normally.Rest in peace Helen, you will be remembered and missed.

My tiny fragile human brain can't even comprehend how this woman could possibly learn to communicate let alone have such deep and profound thoughts. Some of her quotes hit home so hard. Life is indeed a daring adventure or nothing at all

Hellen Keller was a great human being. Her life story, her words, and her voice for humanity should be heard forever, as an inspiration to the many who face adversity and to others so they may appreciate how some have very difficult lives but also have hope and compassion. We can all learn from her outstanding example of the human spirit.

My mother was the youngest of 15 kids. Her mother went blind when my mom was about 6 months old. I think her mother was about 43 when she went blind. But my mom used to always tell the story, that Helen Keller came to visit her mother once. I always thought that was kinda cool, considering they were just farmers in Northern Ohio.

Bravo, to Miss. Helen Adams Keller, for trail blazing, the way for other people that were also blind and deaf.
She was really fantastic. And so compassionate toward everyone.
She had achieved many milestones, through out her life.

Every second just watching her or hearing her when she DID speak is a blessing in this life.
"Everything has its wonders, even darkness and silence, and I learn, whatever state I may be in, therein to be content" - my Favorite Hellen Keller quote
